Books that transform into Wildlife Works of Art! - Review

We have been turning these beautifully illustrated books into wildlife works of art today, creating a parade of amazing animals and incredible bugs! These colourful books from Carlton Books have press-out diecut pages which transform into little interactive galleries. The kiddies have been busy pressing out the pages and reading lots of fun, fascinating facts! Check out our short clip over on Instagram here. We are teaming up with Carlton Books this week to run a giveaway too! To enter, just head over to our Instagram page!

Paperscapes also have other great titles in the series such as Space and Dinosaurs! Today we are reviewing Amazing Amimals and Incredible Bugs! The kiddies have been reading all about many different creatures from seahorses and sailfish to fireflies and fleas!

We will be incorporating these books into our nature studies this year as the kiddies get up close to wildlife on their ourdoor adventures. By taking our classroom outside, identifying plants, birds and fish species they naturally start to develop a love of animals and wildlife conservation through fun activities. We go pond dipping, bug hunting, complete nature activities, get involved in conservation awards such as The John Muir Award, and of course take part in 30 Days Wild each year. I love having detailed nature books like these sitting on our shelves, they invite the kiddies to explore nature in detail and quench their thirst for knowldge, answering all those little questions they think up!

These wildlife books are aimed at children age 7+ but DD4 was very excited to have a look through and see which amimals and bugs she could spot. Each page has a press-out section made with high quality card which DS7 easily popped out, I was worried that he may tear the pieces but the books have been designed to remove each pull out with ease.

DS7 says, 'I really enjoyed reading the books because I got to learn lots of new information about animals. My favourite animal was the Komodo Dragon. I found out that they can grow up to 3M long and weigh 90KG!

Each page is easy to read with facts, a map to show their habitat and a 'Did you know?' section. After pressing out the pages, they displayed each book in the living room as a 'work of art' so that they can keep having a read as they pass by. The beautiful artwork also makes them want to take out their sketchpads and head outside to sketch away!
