Chellow Dene Reservoir
If you're ever here in Bradford then try to visit Chellow Dene Reservoir for a lovely walk around the popular local beauty spot comprising of two Victorian reservoirs lying in a deep wooded valley near the villages of Allerton and Sandy Lane in the city of Bradford.
It's well within the city boundaries Chellow Dene provides a safe haven for local wildlife - including herons, tawny owls, and woodpeckers. Overlooking the valley is a fine golf course - home of the West Bradford Golf Club.
The kiddies love walking around the Victorian reservoir which was emptied for repairs in the early 1990's. It is very deep and people are advised not to go into the water.
