Vote for Nature

Today we started using the classroom resources from the RSPB.

DD13, DS11 & DS8 are learning about 5 different species and understanding why they are high conservation priority. They then have '£10 million' in their pot and have to decide how much money each species should get.

We first started by reading the website info on each species and then researched in books at the local library. They will now decide which animal (or two) they will represent, study them further and write up a short presentation in favour of that species to get a larger share of the money from the pot and argue their points amongst each other in a 'Dragon's Den' or 'Question Time' style panel amongst themselves.
