125g Demerara sugar
5 tbsp. Golden Syrup
Chopped dates and/or raisins
(Preheat oven gas mark 5)
1) Melt the butter or marg in a pan and stir in the sugar and syrup.
2) Add the chopped dates and oats.
3) Mix well and remove from heat.
4) Press into a tin and bake for about 20 minutes.
5) Cool for 15 minutes then score.
6) Allow to cool completely, I sometimes put in fridge for hour or two to harden slightly.
